I have never done this before, how do I begin my Divorce?
We understand that family law proceedings can be difficult to navigate, and you may be unsure how best to approach seeking legal advice. To help ease the process, we’ve outlined the steps below to guide you through how we’ll work with you to resolve your matter.

Step 1: Book an Initial Consultation (IC)

The first step is to contact us to book an initial consultation. This can be done over the phone by giving us a call at (07) 2113 4645, or you are able to book online via our website. We conduct consultations over telephone call, video call (Zoom or Google Meets), or Face-to-Face at our Brisbane City office. We highly recommend a face-to-face meeting, but offer a range of options to suit your schedule and preferences.

Step 2: Initial Consultation

In this session, we’ll assess your situation and advise on the best approach for moving forward. We will discuss the details of your case, answer any questions you have, and outline potential solutions. This is where we work together to create a legal approach tailored to your needs.

Step 3: Cost Agreement

After the consultation, we will draft a Cost Agreement (CA) for you to review and sign. This agreement outlines the fees and terms of our services.

Step 4: Initial Deposit

Once you have signed the CA, the initial deposit outlined in the CA will be required in order to open your file and commence work on your matter. You are able to pay your deposit via bank transfer to the trust account details provided in the CA, or by card payment over the phone by calling (07) 2113 4645.

Step 5: We Get Started

With the CA signed and the deposit paid, we’ll immediately begin work on your matter. You will receive an invite to the BaseCamp platform which we use to communicate with our clients. From here, we’ll keep you updated throughout each stage of the process.
Our goal is to make things clear and straightforward for you. Let us handle the complexity so you can focus on moving forward.

Call us today at (07) 2113 4645 to book your initial consultation and take the first step toward resolving your matter.
