Jacob Butcher Named Among Brisbane’s Most Influential Lawyers Under 30
We are proud to share that Jacob Butcher, our talented Senior Associate, has been recognised by the Couriers Mail as one of Brisbane’s Most Influential Lawyers under 30. Jacob’s journey with us began in 2020 right before the world pandemic changed the way we worked. Since then, he’s made a remarkable impact managing our team and working with our clients ensuring a smooth experience for everyone.
Jacob’s previous work experience provided him with a strong foundation to manage his own casework and a team within the company. Working previously in technology at Uber HQ and serving on the Board of Directors for the United Nations Youth Queensland, his skill set brings a unique perspective to family law combining innovation, empathy, and strategic thinking. Jacob is passionate about mentoring the next generation of lawyers here at Genuine Legal.
Among his many achievements, Jacob is most proud of his work in resolving parenting disputes concerning children with additional and complex needs before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Jacob has successfully litigated the recovery of kidnapped and vulnerable children from unsafe environments, ensuring their safe return to the care of their parents and guardians.
Memorably, Jacob worked on a recent matter involving a child taken overseas by a parent in violation of existing Court Orders. Jacob's swift intervention saw the child safely repatriated to Australia before they could be relocated further to a remote and dangerous corner of the world. Here at Genuine Legal, we are committed to supporting lawyers who share our values: dedication, compassion and courage in the pursuit of justice. Jacob consistently personifies these values and we are proud to have him a part of our GL Family.
Congratulations, Jacob on this well-deserved recognition!
